Manufacturer's Guarantee
AcouLab products are designed and manufactured with longevity in mind. However, if something does go wrong, AcouLab pledges to fix possible defects free of charge.
The manufacturer’s guarantee does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
Guarantee-Conditions:
The manufacturer’s guarantee is valid:
- only for products which were purchased directly from AcouLab
- only for the original owner and cannot be transfered
- from the day of purchase for a period of one year
- only for the repair of the product – neither transport, nor any other costs and risks are covered by this guarantee
- only for material-, production- or design-faults which already existed at the time of purchase or arose within the guarantee period
The manufacturer’s guarantee is not valid:
- For deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use
- For any interoperability issues with third party products; unless explicitly specified
- For damages caused by incorrect use or handling
- For damages caused by any use other than correct use described in the user manual, negligence, modifications, or use of parts that are not specified by AcouLab
- For damages caused by faulty or unsuitable third-party equipment
- For damages caused by accidents, lightning, water, fire heat, war, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the manufacturer
- For products whose serial number has been altered, removed or made illegible.
- If modifications or improper repairs have been made or were attempted
Fair Repair Guarantee
In addition to the manufacturer’s guarantee, AcouLab offers a guarantee for fair repairs.
“fair repairs” can be understood as repairs being executed at no profit.
Furthermore, repairs are conducted at a component level. In comparison to the replacement of entire modules, this results in significantly reduced repair cost as well as causing less electronic waste.
AcouLab also offers replacement parts to the customer at-cost, with no profit or markup.
Guarantee-Conditions:
The fair repair guarantee is valid:
- for life
- only for products which were purchased directly from AcouLab
- only for the original owner and cannot be transfered
- only for the repair of the product – neither transport, nor any other costs and risks are covered by this guarantee
- for all defects which were not intentionally or recklessly caused
- also for deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use
The fair repair guarantee is not valid:
- For products whose serial number has been altered, removed or made illegible.
- If modifications or improper repairs have been made or were attempted
Duties of the manufacturer:
- Repair cost are a sum of part costs and labour costs. Parts are charged at-cost Cost of labour shall be based on a regionally typical rate for a technician or otherwise suitable personell
- Repairs will be performed at a component level, If technically feasible and / or economically viable.
- Customers can source spare parts at-cost. This requires a one-to-one exchange against the defective part.
- If the manufacturer fails to comply with the aforementioned terms of this warranty, the customer shall be legally entitled to receive the full production information of the product, in order to seek repair from a third-party provider. These include schematics, firmware binaries, etc.
Cost of shipping or transportation, as well as the associated risks are to be borne by the customer.
